Is Lightning Roulette different from regular roulette?
Roulette has a long history, but when Evolution Gaming launched Lightning Roulette in 2018, it redefined what the game could be. The core formula stays the same — a wheel, a ball, numbers 0 to 36. The difference is in that electrifying moment of the strike. Jet 12Every round of Lightning Roulette on builds anticipation — which number will lightning strike this time?
Each round, an RNG (Random Number Generator) randomly selects 1 to 5 numbers and assigns them multipliers of x50, x100, x200, or x500. If you have a Straight Up bet on any of those numbers, you receive the assigned multiplier payout instead of the standard 35:1.
One Important Thing to Know
In Lightning Roulette, a straight-up bet pays 29:1 — not the usual 35:1 — because the house takes a slightly larger edge to fund the multiplier feature. This brings Lightning Roulette's RTP to around 97.1%, a touch lower than standard European roulette at 97.3%. The gap is small, but knowing it helps you make more informed decisions.
So why do so many people play it? The answer is the multiplier excitement. If a x500 multiplier lands on your number and the ball stops there, a ৳100 bet pays out ৳50,000. That possibility is exactly what makes Lightning Roulette so compelling.
